Luster announce themselves with the glorious jangle of "You've Got The Heat"
Danish outfit Luster have unveiled a debut single that's both brilliant and completely timeless.
Led by Palace Winter's touring guitarist Jacob Haubjerg, Luster's first track "You've Got The Heat" channels prime '80s indie and is packed full of sunny charm.
Not surprisingly there's echoes of Palace Winter's furious jangle wound down to walking pace in Luster's music, alongside a Postcard Records scratchiness and pleasingly flat drum sounds.
Haubjerg's vocal is a strained falsetto full of wonder, and as he sings "you've got the heat for someone / someone caught your eye / could this be new love / a hauntingly beautiful high" over stabs of bright synths it's hard to resist that feeling when you first found yourself falling head over heels in love.
"You've Got The Heat", taken from Luster's debut EP due this summer, is out tomorrow.
