LUKYU launch high octane, unapologetically pop project with introspective debut “Mask”
Questioning love in the digital age of so-called millennial culture and selfie driven self-promotion, “Mask” asks “How are you going to love me / When you don’t know how to love yourself?”
Faceless and nameless as the project’s first outing, “Mask” serves as the perfect introduction to this elusive collective who - at this point - don’t even have a mask to hide behind, just a simple monochrome logo. With its highly polished sound, powerful vocals and sharp electronic edges, it marks an exciting step into the spotlight for LUKYU.
The consistent trend in anonymous new outfits doesn’t seem to be wavering anytime soon, and while many use the mask as a gimmick to an element of excitement to the brand they’re building, LUKYU’s music speaks for itself and the anonymity seems almost irrelevant in terms of bringing more people into their world.
