Lucern Raze announce new EP, share title track "Happy & Astray" [Premiere]
Following the debut album release earlier this year, Lucern Raze have announced a new four-track EP for release next week. Title track "Happy & Astray" is premiering below.
Veering away from the strikingly raw sound that defined Stockholm One, Happy & Astray takes the band's garage firmly into garage-pop territory. Distinctively rambunctious and deliciously loud, the title track's addictive hooks demonstrate Lucern Raze at their most compelling.
Boisterous and freewheeling, "Happy & Astray" is an effortlessly wild romp along soaring synths and surging guitars. Vocals resound forcefully amidst a haze of distortion and calamitous refrains, shaping a release that both flaunts and taunts the group's fierce character.
As filthy and fancy-free as it is addictive, "Happy & Astray" is the sound of a band entirely in their element.
Happy & Astray is released digitally via PNKSLM Recordings on 18 September. The EP will also see release as a limited edition split cassette backed with HOLY's Silver Of Your Heart EP via Krazy Krille Rekords (available on the bands' upcoming tour).
