Lowtide unveil gloriously gazing new single “Held”
Following-on from the celestial “Wedding Ring”, Lowtide today debut a new taste of their forthcoming self-titled debut full-length, due 5 August on new London indie Opposite Number.
Once again the Aussie quartet provide a reverb-soaked offering for fans of Slowdive shoegazing as “Held” mixes a floating guitar line and a languid vocal verse into another gloriously, lo-fi euphoric chorus.
“Gotta lose your call to let them win”, the wonderful girl-boy voices call on top of the thick, thundering almost Pixies-esque bass line. Somehow the cut is as sparklingly inspiring as it is woozy and worrisome; Lowtide combine emotions effortlessly in a wholly winning formula.
