Watch: Lola Colt - "Diamonds" [UK Premiere]
Lola Colt have been mingling around for the last few years and have progressively built up a well-deserved reputation - especially when it come to their psych-filled live performances. The band’s music to date has displayed fuzzy prowess and kaleidoscopic tones.
The video for new song, “Diamonds” (directed by Rhiannon Adam) allows the heavily percussive track to be recreated visually by multi-coloured silhouettes, flesh-pondering and icy, blue-eyed stares. It almost feels like stepping into Andy Warhol’s Factory and, paired with what sounds like a soundtrack made by The Velvet Underground and Nico, you are more than in for a mind-expanding treat.
Lola Colt play The Great Escape festival today in Brighton (Bermuda Triangle, 10.30pm) and will headline Oslo, Hackney on 4 June. The band’s new single, “Vacant Hearts”, is released via Black Tigress Records on 2 June.
