Listen: Little Shoes Big Voice - “Heaven Ain’t High” [Premiere]
Following-on from August’s stunning “Blue Veins” Little Shoes Big Veins return with another enchanting new cut to continue their ascent in the electro-pop sphere.
The London duo - songwriter, producer and vocalist Jack Durtnall and vocalist Emily Harvey - have been quietly impressing since their formation at the beginning of the year, and this latest track shows where they are capable of going next.
Once again, ethereal and cooling atmospherics take hold but this time Durtnall’s vocal is given more prominence, howling out above a beautifully recurring FX-heavy guitar line from the opening. The sentiment pours through as the two interchange singing duties in the ballad-esque chorus. “When I’m with you / Heaven ain’t high” sticks on the mind with simplistic beauty as the production becomes increasingly eerie throughout.
”Heaven Ain’t High” is another impressive outing from LSBV who clearly have all the ingredients necessary to get the blogosphere, and beyond, hooked. Stream it below as a Best Fit premiere.
