North London trio Wyldest are sharing their latest offering, "Cruel Dusk", ahead of their free show at the Lock Tavern on 25 February.
The new track is the band's debut single proper, self-released, and featuring production from Guy Fixsen (My Bloody Valentine, Pixies).
Smooshing together intelligent pop motifs, á la Woman's Hour, dreamy navel-glaring waves of FX, and sheer pop sensuality, "Cruel Dusk" marks an exciting stride forwards for Wyldest as they jam their foot in the door for reals. It's a swoony statement of intent, rammed with earworms and nuggets of pure greatness.
