London-based electronic outfit Woman’s Hour are streaming their new single, ‘To The End’, out via Parlour Records on 8 April. The four-piece who originate from the Lake District town of Kendal – birthplace of Wild Beasts and mint cake – courted attention from Radio 1 last year with their dreamily melancholic teaser track ‘Our Love Has No Rhythm’.
‘To The End’ lopes along in a similarly sullen vein with Fiona Jane’s icy vocals flickering on a stylized backdrop of bubbling analogue synth patterns, crisply executed bass licks and languid percussion. Woman’s Hour have delivered on their initial promise with a shimmering second cut that rests neatly between The Weeknd’s gloomy, inflected R’n’B and Jessie Ware’s sensual 90’s influenced pop.
