Listen: Wolf Solent - "No Sunshine" [Premiere]
Wolf Solent’s "No Sunshine" is a display of cosmic density wherein lo-fi abrasiveness engulfs a pop-psych melody.
Sea Records’ Wolf Solent is the ethereal product of multi-instrumentalist Danny Trew Barton. His layered production provides an engulfing density of cosmic sound that proves almost overwhelming. The release off of the 7 track forthcoming EP – Wolf Solent – "No Sunshine" effectively satiates the void between nightmare and dreams whilst remaining in a limbo of relentless sound.
Vocals remain practically indistinguishable beneath a deluge of murky distortion. However, pop-psych melodies permeate brightly through the tracks lo-fidelity intensity. Despite its intense affliction of noise, delicate tinkering is masterfully entwined within the tracks swamping abrasiveness.
The Wolf Solent EP will be out 23 March on Sea Records.
