Wildarms, aka Duncan Cooper, has just dropped another cut from his upcoming debut EP Clear Eyes that’s due to drop via the flawless house of Cascine on 5 February.
‘Acceptance’ continues where recent track ‘Unity’ left off. Luxurious, downbeat dream pop with reference points extracted from Cooper’s love of the ever inspiring world of Swedish alt-pop music. However, whilst the tropical flavours of Air France and Korallreven float on by, there’s a darker force at play that turns ‘Acceptance’ from balearic tribute of what’s been done before into a seething and all encompassing monster; the song erupting with a break beat so intense and hypnotising, it’d be as at home blasting out of the speakers of a warehouse party at dawn as it would sound-tracking the long and winding night bus journey commute back to slumberville.
Wildarms’ Clear Eyes EP is released via Cascine on 5 February. Pre-order through iTunes here.
