Listen: Why? – Strawberries

There’s that scene in Empire Records where one of the characters stages her own fake wake, and if Why?’s Yoni Wolf was to do such a thing in real life, you’d be cunning to bet your bottom dollar that this would be soundtracking it all.
‘Strawberries’, taken from the band’s forthcoming LP Mumps, etc, is a confessional lament on the self, regarding the troubles of everything from what to do after you’ve burnt out your indie-rap career to recalling confessions to high school counsellors and not wanting to wear condoms or suncream.
