London five-piece, Whistlejacket, have released their latest track “Melt”, and it’s right to say the lo-fi waves are firmly crashing against the shore.
The track is compelling and combines hypnotic vocals with a ringing guitar to create an immersive, lethargic sound. But whilst it may sound lethargic, the track also forges an energising atmosphere through the swirling vocals following the heels of relentless guitar riffs.
Having supported the likes of Yuck and SPLASHH, the band have proved their place with this infectious, dreamy haze of a track.
Catch them live at The Old Blue Last this Thursday, 6 February.
