Listen: Violetness – Into The Water [Best Fit Premiere]
Violetness’ shrill, delicate words blossom up, as heavy organ tones uncover the earth from which these sounds derive. Such ethreal resonance is juxtaposed with harsh barreling arrangements of sounds that at one time were once words. An orchestra of drums, string instruments and synthesized effects lift the Chicago singer’s piercing vocals up out of the it’s soiled beginnings and into the bright beautiful light on her single, ‘Into The Water.’
The raw emotion exuded from Violetness lends to a gorgeous erraticism. Wild effects and restrained words combine with dramatic layers to create a sound best fit for a packed auditorium of onlookers. We see a bright future ahead for young star.
Violetness’ album Last Night In My Dreams, I Was Talking To You is out Feb 18 2013 on LebensStrasse Records.
