Listen: VÉRITÉ - "Strange Enough"
New York’s VÉRITÉ has seemingly appeared out of nowhere with a debut cut carrying enough lyrical depth to show that we just might have a rising pop star ready to make her mark.
The Elliot Jacobson-produced track offers a repeat play inducing slab of left-field pop with a soaring chorus that will have you reciting “Strange Enough” while you’re waiting to use the self-checkout.
As we’re left asking just who VÉRITÉ is, “Stange Enough” raises a whole lyric sheet of post-break-up questions. “Strange Enough is a contemplation of all the questions I’d ask myself about my relationship, and why we bother ourselves to try to make things work sometimes,” explains VÉRITÉ. Its thematics may romanticise short-lived moments, but one thing’s for sure: VÉRITÉ has the potential to offer a lot more than a fleeting listen.
VÉRITÉ is currently in the studio working on her debut EP with Elliot Jacobson.
