Listen: Tvvins – “You Better” [Premiere]

More than just another new outfit with misplaced consonants in their name, Conor Adams and Lar Kaye – aka Tvvins – have unveiled their second frenetic synth-pop outing.

Following on from “Two Worlds”, which appeared at the latter half of last year, the Irish pair have conjured up a thumping brand of electro, again making use of a gentle nod to the robotic vocal-sound of that certain Parisian duo to create this infectious arcade game-inspired cut.

Drawing on the work of CHVRCHES for accompaniment and Thumpers in fun-filled vocal-lines, the heart-beating rhythm and deep over-driven riff drive the ear-worm melody effortlessly into the subconscious.

With a live outing at London’s trend-setting Birthdays on 3 February to look forward to, Tvvins are well-placed to make ground on the pace-setting members of this busy genre. Stream “You Better” below, premiering here on Best Fit.
