Listen: Tusks - "Answers (Niven remix)"
Ambient electro producer Niven has remixed "Answers" by Tusks, and you can stream it now on Best Fit.
Morphing Tusks' emotive original, which is sodden with reverberating solemnity - think Daughter or Halls - into a more upbeat affair, Niven demonstrates his ability to reduce track to its basest elements, and then reassemble in new, intriguing ways. Using blippy bubble-pop synths, strident beats and woozy pads, Niven spins gold.
Niven will be performing at the upcoming Sphere electronica/visual arts night, which will take place at Birthdays in Dalston on 16 April. Frett, Memotone and Duologue will also be performing.
Sphere was founded by Niven and Yucatan Records, and aims to promote up-and-coming electronic artists. They also feature a live projectionist and visual artists, making the entire experience a sensory overload; you can find out more about the event here.
