Listen: Trust Fund - "Essay to write"
Bristol's Trust Fund - AKA Ellis Jones & Co. - is gearing up to release debut LP No one's coming for us through Turnstile on 9 February, and to whet appetites further, they've shared new track "Essay to write".
Rippling with dishevelled guitars and off-kilter beats, Jones fuses together sweet melodies and a lo-fi rock approach to create something utterly beguiling. He's had comparisons to Joanna Gruesome and Nirvana in the past, but on "Essay to write", due to its sparse nature and penchant for bedroom hallmarks, there's more obvious links to Internet superstar Alex G, but laced with those bizarre half-falsetto coos from Jones however, it's distinctly the Bristolian's tangled webs on display.
