You know how annoying it is when someone says, “Yeah, but you have to see them live, really”? Well, apologies in advance – but Trippple Nippples are pretty close to being the ultimate live band.
A couple of months back they laid beautiful waste to the Old Blue Last, storming onstage clad in little more than adult nappies and gaffa tape, shovelling fistfuls of strawberries into their mouths, assaulting unsuspecting proto-hipsters, and generally demonstrating why the ridiculous catharsis a band with a sense of humour will always beat the carefully honed aloofness of a band with pretensions.
‘LSD’ is pretty much the only track that I can remember from their set. The title alone will give you a pretty accurate indication of what to expect from this gloriously demented outfit.
