Listen to Azekel's new, raw offering "Sold My Love"
Having taken a more down-tempo route with this new track, Azekel is showcasing his vocal and producing versatility by stripping back "Sold My Love" to soothing vocals and pacifying piano.
There's no doubt that Azekel has set himself up to wow his listeners with his new track "Sold My Love." The minimalist instrumentals allow Azekel to take control and emphasise his vocal ability by reaching the angelic high notes, further elaborating the emotional 'heart on his sleeve' temperament.
Soft beats let distorted, echoey melodies weave through the sadness of "Sold My Love", and undoubtedly pinches at the skin whilst Azekel moves up the scale to reach the high pitches, which are almost cold as ice.
As emotional as the song is, Azekel has once again proved his versatility in his production and songwriting skills. "Sold My Love" features on Azekel's EP Raw, Vol. 1 - out 12 July via Thunderlightning Recordings.
You can catch Azekel's debut performance on the BBC Introducing stage this Friday at Glastonbury.
