Last month we brought you an obsession we just couldn’t keep to ourselves, Rhode Island producer, The Range’s wildly imaginative take on footwork and R&B, all to the tune of Ciara’s, ‘Promise’.
As promised (pun intended), James Hinton, aka The Range is back with the first morsel off his forthcoming Seneca release. ‘PS 3’ is a fantasyland inspired anxiety attack filled with an excitable mix of clicks, wails, shakes and pops; like getting off the school bus on your very first field trip to the zoo. There is so much to see and do, at first step, your feet don’t even know which direction to point you in. But alas, you find your way and through surging, gauzy beats, rumbling footwork tempos, and delicately, sparse piano keys. Acting as your tour guide through the much too short introduction to his Seneca EP, Hinton ensures your excursion never involves a dull moment.
The Range’s Seneca EP is out 22nd April on Donky Pitch.
