Listen: The Chieftains & The Low Anthem – School Days Over [Best Fit Premiere]
The Chieftains mark their 50 year anniversary next month with the release of Voice Of Ages: a collaboration record that sees the Irish folk legends team up with the likes of indie heavyweights Bon Iver and The Decemberists plus nu-country darlings The Secret Sisters andThe Civil Wars. The release was produced by the God-like T Bone Burnett and Paddy Moloney, it drops via Decca on April 23.
We’ll be streaming the entire album in full as of tomorrow (March 21), however for now, enjoy this beautiful rendition of ‘School Days Over’ featuring the unmistakable presence of The Low Anthem.
The Low Anthem also appeared alongside Bruce Springsteen, Arcade Fire and Tom Morello at SXSW last week, you can check out the footage of that performance below.
