Sunless ’97 have revealed details of new EP, Aurora, which will explore “two opposite spectrums of a relationship” at dawn. It’ll be released via Moshi Moshi next month but much more exciting than reading all that news is the actual sound of the first single from it, ‘Aurora I’.
The London trio have, with the first cut, managed to combine many of the best elements of pop to create a track that transforms from a relaxing mid-tempo electronic affair, into an expansive dance party, filled with exotic drumming, starry-eyed synths and echoing vocal coos.
