Listen: Stay Bless - "Paradise"
George Cassavetes, the man behind Stay Bless, is streaming "Paradise" to celebrate the release of new EP In Paradise.
Speaking to Hunger TV, the London-based musician explained that ""Paradise" takes its name from ‘another day in paradise’. Both the mundane ups and downs of life and relationships. One day you feel that you truly are in a blissful paradise and other days you’re stuck in a darkly ironic paradise."
This track's a sleek 3:24 of tropical-tinged pop, not unlike Blood Orange or some long-lost gem from an '80s family adventure flick. The track sounds gorgeously upbeat and uplifting, belying its overtly bittersweet themes, and you'll likely have the chorus rampaging through your noggin for days after you've finished listening.
Cassavetes plays Birthdays in Dalston tonight (11 March) to launch the short-player. Stay Bless's In Paradise EP is out now.
