Listen: Squarepusher - "Stor Eiglass"
Having detailed his new LP, Damogen Furies, Squarepusher highlights his love for drum 'n' bass with a four and a half minute trip into the juttery, surprisingly bright track, "Stor Eiglass".
Squarepusher has been in the game a long time, but is seemingly still building his ability to transcend into new electronic atmospheres. "Stor Eiglass" is a prime example of how the UK producer and artist can manipulate stuttering, insistent sounds to create a boundary of battering beats and screaming synths to create an unknowingly brilliant melody.
The brutality of the persistent, fast-paced sounds coincide smoothly to create an upbeat, purposely hesitant and unpredicatable track, and it's no doubt that this track is simply building excitement for his upcoming LP.
Damogen Furies is out 21 April on Warp. You can listen to "Stor Eiglass" below.
