London post-folk singer-songwriter Sophie Jamieson is preparing the release of "Take" for 8 December. You can stream it now.
Flickering like porchlights in drizzle, the guitars forge an uneasy bedrock for Jamieson's latest cut. "Take", far from the nods to Daughter and Laura Marling she noted when we spoke to her in May, rekindles memories of The xx's fragility. This is a structurally fascinating track with a frothy melodic coating.
