Having gone quiet on us since the release of their I OH YOU EP back in 2011, Young Melbourne five-piece Snakadaktal return.
The first taste of their debut album Sleep in the Water, ‘Ghost’ and its accompanying visuals swell with a dour grace, their tranquil surfaces concealing a busy, rich underbelly. Setting the scene with muted warbling organ sighs and sparse, hollow guitar twangs the hushed, layered number eventually finds Phoebe Cockburn’s haunting vocals weaving their way around crisp percussion and an intoxicated cyclic rhythm.
Sleep in the Water will be released through Liberation on 2 August.
