Binnacle festival at London’s Old Blue Last this coming Saturday and Sunday will be a little like finally meeting up with friends you’ve been chatting to on the internet. Except that it’ll also be a lot not like that in the sense that there’ll be loads of bands and producers that you’ve blogged about almost weekly but who in return won’t know you even exist.
That said, here’s a post on multi-instrumentalist Slime - just one of the many brilliant acts featuring at the hotly-tipped micro-festival this weekend – a post that I probably shouldn’t but depending on alcohol consumption may actually bring up to him if we happen to bump into each other at the gig.
‘Break Fall’ is a new single taken from the 19 year old producer’s debut EP Increases. The track and indeed the rest of record were recorded at Archer’s South London home and tweaked in the 4AD studio. You can listen to the single below and stream the whole EP here.
Slime will be DJing at the Sunday leg of Binnacle ahead of a forthcoming release due really very soon.
Released 27 June, the EP had a limited release of just 300 12″s on Tough Love Records. However, luckily you can still purchase the tracks on iTunes here.
