Listen: Shelter Point - "Hansei" [Premiere]
Nottingham's Robin Hearn and Liam Arnold, also known as electronic experimenters Shelter Point, are sharing new tune "Hansei" exclusively on Best Fit.
It's taken from their upcoming Weird Dreamers EP, and sees them hammer together Oliver Wilde-style psych-folk guitars, shimmering trap beats and engorged electro synths á la Mount Kimbie or Jamie Woon. There's desperation in the vocals and isolation in the echoing instruments, and when pieced together, there's an overwhelming sense of doom, be it emotional or physical, which'll set you on edge. It's a beguiling mix of organic and synthetic that makes them stand out in an ocean of electronic pop.
The Weird Dreamers EP is out 23 February on Space + Time/Sony/RCA.
