19-year-old Floridean XXYYXX has reworked a standout cut from Ryan Hemsworth's recent Alone For The First Time LP.
"Snow In Newark", featuring Dawn Golden, has ben shimmied into darker territories, with the hollow clang of snare dominating a low-slung rhythm. Yanked down an octave(ish), Hemsworth's vox now sound more guttural and tormented, as if he's a guest spot for Blue Daisy.
