Listen: Rhodes – Worry [Premiere]
With his debut EP due out later this month, 24-year-old North Hertfordshire resident Rhodes’ talents are new to most – most of all the singer himself, who only picked up a guitar earlier this year to discover he had a voice. If you’re anything like us, you’ll be glad he did.
Taken from said EP, we have a brand new track for you today in the form of ‘Worry’ – a slow, sombre number centred around a haunting lone guitar strum and those high-pitched, perfectly gravelly vocals Rhodes says he wrote ‘Worry’ “when I spent some time alone after feeling as though I needed some separation from a situation I was in. It’s kind of a message and a question to those I had turned away from.”
Rhodes will release his debut EP Raise Your Love on 28 October, via Hometown Records. He is set to play his first ever headline show at The Waiting Rooms in London on 24 October.
