Listen: Rangleklods - "Lost U"
Danish electro-pop twosome Rangleklods have unveiled "Lost U", the lead track from their upcoming second album.
Esben Nørskov Andersen and Pernille Smith-Sivertsen, AKA Rangleklods, have spent two years cooped up in Copenhagen creating the sophomore long-player, which is currently untitled, but expected this year via Tambourhinoceros.
"Lost U" will also get a single release via Tambourhinoceros in the near future.
It's a bubbling dream-dance cut, encrusted with monolithic percussion and house hooks. Smith-Sivertsen's vox add a misty layer to the noise, making it lighter and providing a gorgeous contrast to the sampled spoken word fragments and pitch-shifted harmonies. There's a whiff of Caribou lingering in the forward-thinking production, but not enough for the comparison to be your only thought - this is a stellar second first impression from Rangleklods, and one that's bound for continental clubs, surely.
