Hype Williams use their tried and tested formula of working movie dialogue into their instrumentals for a remix of PVT’s ‘Vertigo’.
Dean Blunt and Inga Copeland are both currently working on solo LP’s but they have managed to take some time out to create eavesdropping voyeurs out of their audience on this one by placing a hilarious scene from John Hughes’ Sixteen Candles – where the characters talk about interracial relationships – over a stripped down version of PVT’s original beat.
It’s layered in a way that makes you feel as if you’re there in the room with an invisibility cloak on as the chatter develops. Stream below.
