Good things come to those who wait. So the saying goes. And, after what feels like an eternity since Porcelain Raft emerged onto our radar with the irrestistible ‘Tip Of Your Tongue’ back in June of last year, Mauro Remiddi emerges with the first offering from his debut album Strange Weekend (due out via Secretly Canadian on January 23).
A delicate, strung out gem – ‘Put Me To Sleep’ is proof positive why Mauro was originally included in our 2011 ‘One’s To Watch’ list back at the start of the year: “Truly talented and several notches above most of his peers.” As 2011 begins to close its doors, ‘Put Me To Sleep’ is the perfect parting lullaby.
