Philco Fiction first teased our ear drums last month when revealing the stark, beautiful ballad ‘Finally’ – a song seemingly crafted for the cold winter months that await us. However, Take It Personal, the Norwegian trio’s new full-length reveals an album of many different depths and textures. Beautifully produced and arranged to the point of pin-precision perfection, here we have ten songs each with their own individual character. From quietly rousing pop stompers to semi-flirtations with jazz and prog – all of which are tied together with the incredibly inviting vocals of Turid Solberg. A truly stunning collection of songs.
