Succesful cover versions are few and far between (remember the time Scouting For Girls covered Bon Iver?) and taking a stab at a song so incredibly perfect and blood curdingly emotive as The National’s ‘Bloodbuzz Ohio’ takes some serious balls. Luckily for us, Nanna Øland Fabricius has said balls and puts them to great use here as she transforms the brooding original into a delicate synth-pop ballad that certainly wouldn’t have sounded out of place on her self-titled album from earlier in the year. Originally posted by the good guys over at Kick Kick Snare, this is something really quite lovely.
