Listen: New Ryan Adams 7″ single, Alice In Chains cover version

The first new material in a while from the usually prolific alt. country icon, Ryan Adams has treated fans who attended his recent solo European shows to a 7″ tour only single. ‘Empty Room’ is a steady paced country rocker – reminiscent to the Cold Roses / Easy Tiger days from his time with backing band The Cardinals. Certainly the most immediate thing he’s produced in a while, and hopefully the sign of things to come. The b-side is a cover of Alice In Chain’s ‘Nutshell’ – stripped back with some sparse instrumentation, it sees Adams in usual introspective mode. Stream both tracks below.
