Neon Indian was making electronic music that scratched the under surface of your skull and let off some serotonin that conjured feelings of nostalgia, a style that later came to be known as Chillwave, back when Washed Out was still playing with his Barbie. (Not really true, neither is Ernest Greene’s alleged childhood past times.)
But nevertheless, it’s been a good few years since Neon Indian released his genre-sprawling debut Psychic Charm and here’s Texas-born Palomo back again with a spiralling synth-and-midi treat in the form of ‘Polish Girl’ – taken from forthcoming album Era Extraña.
‘Polish Girl’ is out 4 August, while the album is out 13 September on Static Tongues/ Mom + Pop Music. Listen to the song below, courtesy of NPR.
