Two up-and-coming forces in the Scottish musical world have come together for some new noise: synth-rock troupe Prides have tackled pop producer Monogram's "Romance".
Laden with hooks, the original is a woozy affair that's almost impossible to get removed from your head. Prides have turned it on its head, injecting what sounds like marimbas, ambient swooshes and jerky tugs into the fray. It's still rife with earworms, but this reworking sees the subtler elements lunge into the spotlight.
Prides also recently shared a live mixtape, which saw them cover the likes of Iggy Azalea and Ryn Weaver in a session.
