Chicago's scuzz-punks Meat Wave have shared the lead single from their new EP Brother.
"Sham King" is a sludgey, grit-encrusted number that merges sinewy licks with the raw, guttural stomp of hardcore pecussive. It's cyclic and noisy and aggressive and will have you seeking to mosh at the soonest convenience.
The Brother EP is released on 19 January on the newly-formed Brace Yourself Records - not a bad way to begin, that's for sure.
Meat Wave will play their debut London show shortly after the EP's release. The trio will perform 28 January at the Shacklewell Arms. It's a free show, but RSVP here.
