Listen: Little Daylight – Name In Lights (Pacific Air Remix) [Best Fit Premiere]
Marina and the Diamonds and Charli XCX touring partners-to-be, Little Daylight dropped their second track and follow up to the explosive ‘Overdose‘ at the start of April.
‘Name In Lights’ picks up where their skyscraping, Hypem-toppling debut left off with its pristine synth riffs, sensuous beats and simmering bass bursts adding credence to their burgeoning rep as catnip for A+R guys the world over.
LA duo Pacific Air have left their unmistakably vibrant fingerprint on this swooning rework; supplanting the impishly twee lead vocal with an altogether more drowsy inflection and imbuing the melody with a warm, relaxing glow via wispy samplers and muted percussion. A deft of touch remix which ensures the New Yorker’s poppy modus operandi remains very much preserved.
