Listen: Ji Nilsson - "Encore" (Boeoes Kaelstigen Remix)
One of 2014's finest jams "Heartbreakfree" rocketed Stockholm based Ji Nilsson straight onto our Best Fit Newcomers of the year longlist. Encapsulating the modern day trials of trust and commitment, its pretty much been on constant repeat since it fell into our laps.
Same goes for follow-up single "Encore", orginally released in October. There's a very real rawness and truth to Nilsson's vocal delivery - matched with an irrestibable groove, "Encore" is as perfect listened to at 2am on the nightbus home as it is in a packed out club.
Its the danceable element to the song that producers Boeoes Kaelstigen really tap into on this all new remix. Stripping the original of its neon drenched R&B, the track gets realised as a subtle house banger - four to the floor drums and a gradual build. Glorious stuff.
The perfect Friday soundtrack. Get a little bit more aquatined to Ji over here, not before getting involved with the classy 'lil banger below which also just so happens to be a free download.
