The standard response to every new James Blake track now seems to be “ah, it’s more like his old stuff than his album.” ‘Curbside’, taken from his forthcoming EP, is built around the same deconstructed percussion that characterised his early releases, but with an added semi-dancehall, semi-East Cost-hip-hop feel.
Incidentally, can anyone tell me what the horn sample is from? It’s driving me mad.
H/t to The 405 for the radio rip.
