Listen: HUNTAR - "All That I Want"
The hunt. The wait. The yearn. When there is someone that fully encompasses your mind and heart, the head is heavy, swimming in anticipation and impatience. Everything moves too slow – the seconds between texts, the short commute from your place to theirs, the ringing on the other end of the line before they pick up.
On his latest single, “All That I Want”, London electronic artist HUNTAR masters the slow, tense boil of these emotions via deep, dark, austere synths billowing beneath his breathy, soulful vocals. His slinky chorus crawls hand by outstretched hand to the object of his desire.
Beyond his expert handling of dark, guttural tension, HUNTAR has sense enough to break sultry air with intermittent snatches of snare snaps and skittering hi-hat. Neatly augmenting and never overwhelming his velvety smoulder, they up both the track’s kinetic and sexy quotients.
“All That I Want” is the third in a string of singles offered by HUNTAR, further whetting our appetites yet still leaving us chomping for more.
