Ahead of their debut LP release next month, HOLY have unveiled a blindingly brilliant second single.
Shrouded with intrigue and drenched in reverb, Hannes Ferm has been making quite the mark with his project HOLY. Now, with debut album Stabs imminent, the band have unveiled magnetic second single "Lights".
Vocals swim slightly out of focus, harmonies entwining dazedly just on the cusp of comprehension. Hooky ooh la las echo and repeat distinctively - a focal point amidst the fog of swirling refrains and effects. Just when you think you've got it all pegged, the track rips loose: distortion en masse, rip-rolling percussion and squealing guitars tear through the recording; it's a chaos controlled only by the eerie vocal harmonies that soar above.
Stabs is set for release via PNKSLM/Ny Vag Records on March 11th.
