‘Let’s Bang’ is the pheromone fuelled debut single from HOCKEYSMITH, the sibling shoegaze duo who brought us the syrupy strung-out, ‘Now I Want To’, earlier this month.
HOCKEYSMITH were hatched in the dubious comfort of a Cornwall caravan park by sisters Georgie and Annie Hockey-Smith a year or so back, but they’ve abstained from making a formal full release until now. Fading out after a minute and a half of smoky keys and wraithlike vocals, only to punch back with winding guitar lines and more gleefully sloshy harmonies than your average Warpaint wig-out. Admit it, you’re in love too.
‘Let’s Bang/Now I Want To’ is out via their own label, Backabelly, on 12 August.
