A band can have many lives, through a line-up reshuffle or simply by choosing a new musical direction. Sometimes the case is both, as it is for Northern-based Her Name is Calla.
Having replaced two of their members with fresh blood since their 2010 single ‘Maw’, they return with this new number, ‘Ragman Roll’, a self-released Radiohead-esque single with a rather bewitching piano line.
The band play a single launch show in London on 11 December. ‘Ragman Roll’ is available on 7” and digitally.
