Surrey based singer songwriter Hannah Rodgers returns with the wonderfully hazy ‘I Wake’, an easy listening treat that we’re delighted to premiere at Best Fit.
With its tentatively simmering opening section, complete with sweeping instrumentation and a breathy, hypnotic vocal that tempts us to “go back to sleep” with aplomb, Hannah has constructed a gorgeous and rich slow-pop gem in the vein of Zero 7 or a major-scale-happy Daughter.
Hannah’s dreamy vocal is complimented perfectly, snugly bedded in by the warm production that seamlessly manipulates ‘I Wake’s percussion and waves of gentle guitar. Stream the track below and keep up to date with Hannah on Facebook.
