San Francisco beatmaker Giraffage has teamed up with synthpop trio DWNTWN and Oakland-born vocalist Jhameel to produce this spectacularly woozy track for the Kitsune America 2 compilation which dropped today.
Playing to each of the three rising contributor’s strengths, ‘Move Me’ meets somewhere between smoky slow-jam, sleepwalking analog minimalism and ultra-modern, skyscraping pop composition. Just try to resist those flickering hi-hats, repeating piano chords and fluttering synths. We’ve tried, and failed.
