Listen: FXXXYBLNT – Sleep Of The Lovers
Filipino beat magician FXXXYBLNT unveiled the first cut from his/her forthcoming, as-yet-untitled debut EP last month. The Manila native returned over the weekend with another gorgeously refined, future R&B composition, entitled ‘Sleep Of The Lovers’.
It’s a witch-house tinctured whirpool of sensual sound, sucking in James Blake’s impenetrably murky electronics, How To Dress Well’s sensitive percussive caresses – FXXXYBLNT took a fairly successful stab at remixing ‘Cold Nites’ earlier in 2013 – and dreamy wafts of Sanna Hartfield’s pitched down vox. Here’s hoping this rich seam of consistency flows all the way through the anonymous bedroom producer’s first full-length record.
