Listen: Flume – Left Alone ft. Chet Faker (Bobby Tank Remix)
With an EP due out later this month on MofoHifi, and having already done official remixes for the likes of Alunageorge and Deft, it’s safe to say Bobby Tank is one busy man. He’s even found time to remix Flume’s track, ‘Left Alone’.
The London producer’s pitch shifting, futuristic take on Chet Faker’s sultry folk vocals are an escape into Bobby Tank’s glitchy, funk-kissed world of Alice In Wonderland-like possibilities. A swirling menagerie of digital effects and chopped up fragments of Flume’s sexy hip hop original are tossed into an already colorful pot, causing the most lovely of explosions.
Flume’s debut self-titled album is out 18th Feb in the UK via Transgressive and 19th Feb via Mom & Pop.
